About Touchstone Therapy

Suzanne

I am a Therapist and Registered Social Worker and have been working therapeutically with children, young people and adults for over 20 years.

I have worked in leadership roles in community organisations over many years and have particular expertise in the area of concerning and harmful sexual behaviour. I use psychodynamic theory to underpin my practice and have skills in understanding trauma from a neurobiological (brain/body) perspective.

I believe that therapy is a relationship between the client and therapist and that as a therapist, it is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they make changes in their lives. I endeavour to do so with care and compassion.

Tania

I am a Therapist and Registered Social Worker. For the past 20 plus years, I have worked therapeutically with children, young people and adults. This has mostly been in community agencies and in private practice.

I have trained in a number of therapeutic models however, like Suzanne I use psychodynamic theory to underpin my practice and bring a trauma lens to my work. I use my understanding of trauma to help my clients make sense of the ‘big T’ and ‘little t’ traumas that may be contributing to the difficulties they are experiencing. I am trained as a Family Therapist and have a special passion for working with parents and working with families to resolve difficult dynamics and improve relationships.

I am a warm and engaging therapist who puts lots of energy into creating a respectful partnership between myself and my client. I am committed to the ongoing development of my practice and will provide a safe and therapeutic space to support clients to make changes in their lives.
